Neon Lights

Wherever you go in the world, no matter what socio-economic class you pass through, these neon lights will be inviting in different styles, winking at you from one corner of the street. From movies to decoration from decoration to fashion to streets. 

Although neon is an inert noble gas, it is an important gas that has huge effects on lighting systems. Neon lighting is a long-lasting, economical and highly impressive method that can be used both in home decoration and workplace decoration, signage and in all areas you can imagine. Neon tubes, which are very common in advertising signs and lighting, have a history of nearly 100 years. Lamps, television tubes, high voltage indicators, advertising signs, flourence bulbs, night lights, electrical appliances, lighting tubes, lasers, lightning rods, submersible tubes, landscape applications, disc readers…  neon appears to be everywhere.

Neon lamp or neon tube is a product formed by giving electric current to a tube filled with neon gas. When the high pressure of low pressure neon gas filled in a long pipe or tube is given high current from both ends, the neon atoms are stimulated, giving a mixture of red and orange light.

Neon lights has a happy effect on people: besides being available in many colors, they have the power to appeal to the subconscious. Neon lights are so remarkable that they catch the eyes of those who look at it even from far, far away. It was discovered by the French chemist Georges Claude in 1911. The light produced by neon tubes was only pink or yellow, making it impossible for them to be used in homes. Therefore, it was used for advertising purposes. The first neon lamp lighted on December 11, 1910.  It was first used in Paris in 1912 for the production of a barber’s lighted sign. After that, neon lamps took their place in homes and home decorations.
